Injection Process
Step 1
Firstly, we drill down between 50cm to 95cm into the soil. We then inject compressed air, up to 8bar. The injection of air breaks up the soil and creates voids and cracks. We drill approximately every 1m2 which ensures all the voids are connected. This maximises the benefits of drainage, aeration and nutrient levels across the full working area.
Step 2
We then inject the soil improver into the voids and cracks. The material fills the voids creating many small interlinking drainage channels that last for hundreds of years.
Step 3
The soil improver absorbs the water making it available to the plants, any excess water flows through the voids and into the subsoil away from the roots.
Step 4
The soil improver allows for better airflow throughout the soil as well as increasing the nutrient content. It also helps with water retention which is of particular benefit in dry periods as well as improved drainage during wet conditions. All of these help to improve the growing medium which in turns improves the health and appearance.
